ESA Educational Support Website Makes it Easier to Explore the Cosmos
8 January 2013

The Universe Awareness network has been growing since the project began, with new member countries and international organisations joining all the time. One of the most recent collaborations is with the European Space Agency (ESA), an international organisation made up of 20 member countries. ESA's missions include projects related to space science, solar system exploration, Earth observation, human spaceflight and the International Space Station (ISS) and many more!

The ESA Education webpage acts as a gateway to ESA's educational resources, connecting together the educational work from the various directorates, such as the Science and Robotic Exploration Directorate. There's something for everyone involved in formal or informal science education, from all the usual material — images, videos, posters and new stories — to classroom resources such as lesson plans, activity guides and books. Click on the 'Brainstorming' link for some great ideas! What's more, many of the webpages are interactive to engage a younger audience, with a number of 3D simulations and paper models of ESA spacecraft to play with! For the youngest children, check out the ESA Kids website.
