On 9 October, 2017 in Lahore, Pakistan, UNAWE Student Ambassadors Saif and Yumna organised a space science and solar observation outreach event at a local high school. This event was inspired by World Space Week 2017: ‘Exploring New Worlds in Space’.
Over 200 students of the Unique High School Boys Campus Gulberg were present, accompanied by teachers and management staff. The event started with a lecture on the Sun and other important topics in astronomy. “The difference between astrology and astronomy were also discussed, because they are often confused in the local community.” Then they were told about space colonization, with a particular emphasis on Mars colonization.
