Slovenian Space Scoops Published in Print Magazine
23 April 2014

Once or twice a week, UNAWE brings the news from across the Universe to kids all around the world in the form of Space Scoops. When a major space organisation, like ESA, NASA, NAOJ or ESO, makes a big discovery or a breath-taking photograph, UNAWE writes a news item on this specifically for children. This shows them that science, and astronomy in particular, is an exciting and lively subject where discoveries happen all the time. When they grow up, children can make their own breakthrough discoveries!

By stating that UNAWE brings news to kids all around the world, we mean what we say. Space Scoops are translated into 27 different languages, making it accessible to a large majority of the planet. One of these languages is Slovenian. The UNAWE node in Slovenia has managed to create a collage of the very best Space Scoops in the form of a print magazine! They are now distributing the magazine to schools and interested individuals. If you would like to receive a copy, please contact Andreja Gomboc, the Slovenian national project manager from the University of Ljubljana. Andreja is the one who made this magazine possible, with sponsorship of the Slovenian Centre of Excellence Space-si.
