GalileoMobile’s Constellation Visits Colombia, Brazil, Peru, Chile and Argentina
20 November 2015

UNAWE partner project GalileoMobile is back on the road: its IYL 2015 project Constellation is organising four simultaneous expeditions to bring the wonders of the sky to children in five countries in South America during November and December 2015.

The Constellation Project comprises the creation of a network of 20 schools across six countries in South America, allowing them to share their fascination with the sky through hands-on activities and fun experiments.

Constellation started activities in schools in Colombia in early November, and in the past few weeks they visited schools in Bogota, Medellín, Antioquía and Pereira. This month, project collaborators have also hosted activities in Peru and in Brazil. Check out the video on the Constellation Project and see if you catch a glimpse of the UNAWE Earth Ball:

And there is more to come: from the 23 November to 14 December they will be visiting schools in Chile and Argentina, from Chile Chico and Cariquíma to Cordoba, Mendoza and Salta. We wish the Constellation team all the best!

The GalileoMobile Constellation Programme is supported by Universe Awareness (UNAWE), as well as the IAU Office for Astronomy Development (OAD), NORDITA, Museu de Astronomia e Ciências Afins (MAST), Cerro Tololo Observatory (CTIO), Planetarium of Cusco, Planetarium of Medellín, Universidad Sergio Arboleda, the Galileo Teacher Training Programme (GTTP), A Touch of the Universe Project and the European Southern Observatory (ESO).
