It is only with the continued support of educators, parents and the astronomy community that we will fulfil the goals of EU-UNAWE.

Carolina Ödman Govender, former UNAWE International Project Manager

Let's inspire every child with our wonderful cosmos!

There isn’t a child on Earth that can resist the lure of the Great Unknown, and taking them to the stars is the greatest adventure of all. Universe Awareness offers a guided tour to every single child, from every corner of the globe and every cultural background. But this ambitious mission requires help from you!

How can I help?

5 EUR: Can provide a UNAWE Earth Ball to an underprivileged school, to give students a broader perspective on the world and a more positive outlook on their future.

10 EUR: Can introduce students of an underprivileged school to the cosmos and alien life, by giving a 'Spacey' book to a school library.

50 EUR: Can bring the Universe to an underprivileged school with a Universe in a Box toolkit.

100 EUR: Can bring a Universe in a Box toolkit to two underprivileged schools and provide one school with an Earth Ball, to give hundreds of children the chance to explore the wonders of our planet and the cosmos.

250 EUR: Will run a one-day Teacher Training workshop in a developing country for 30 teachers, helping to provide a quality education to disadvantaged young children.

500 EUR: Will run a three-day Teacher Training workshop in a developing country for 30 teachers, which will help provide quality education for hundreds of children.

Or you can help by donating time and energy! If you have ideas for an exciting new UNAWE project, then we would love to hear from you! Please send your ideas to

Universe Awareness is an educational programme that uses the wonders of our cosmos to inspire young children, particularly those from underprivileged backgrounds, to take an interest in science and technology and to foster in them a sense of global citizenship from the earliest age.
