A programme by
Mars Observed From Mozambique on Radio and in the Streets of Maputo
4 February 2010

On January 26 2010 we carried out a program on Radio Mozambique between 18:00 and 18:30 hours. During the program, we spoke about astronomy and the planet Mars.

After the show with Radio Mozambique, people had the opportunity to observe the craters of the Moon, Mars, the Orion constellation, as well as Jupiter from the streets of Maputo. Observations were made with the naked eye and using a telescope in the Cathedral of Maputo (Roman Catholic) and Francisco Manyanga School.

On January 30, we held an event in the "Jardim dos Namoradas" gardens. Between 20:30 and 22:00 hours, children, teenagers and adults observed the craters of the Moon and Mars.
